When going to the Luberon, be prepared to
- drive on windy small roads,
- stick your eyes to your map or GPS,
- Moan when taking the wrong turn,
- reverse when you realise you just missed the perfect spot for a photo....
- prepare a lot of coins in order to pay the car parks in the popular destination (from 3 to 5€)
- Walk a lot from your car park to the village centre
There are hundreds of Villages to visit while touring.
Obviously the most famous one are Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Menerbes, Fontaine de Vaucluse.
But so many others, less popular are certainly not be missed to my taste.
Lacoste is on my list. No shops there, stip hill but a gorgeous medieval village.
Goult is a nice place to stop for lunch.
Lumière has a fantastic shop for linen and interior decoration.
I love driving through that narrow 2 way road in Maubec.
On the best view of the Luberon mountain is certainly from Joucas.
What else to say...
If only that when driving through the Luberon, "just get lost and enjoy the hidden beauty"....
